Exilis Elite Body Tightening, Contouring and Cellulite London

What is Exilis Elite?

It is clinically proven to destroy stubborn fat whilst improving the texture and tone of your skin. It does this by uniquely combining high-intensity ultrasound and radio frequency technologies. During the process of transmitting these energies into the skin, using Exilis Elite we can control the depth the energy travels.  Fat reduction is then achieved by targeting unwanted fat cells up to 4cm beneath the surface of the skin. This effectively melts the fat cells and over the coming days and weeks the body naturally flushes them away through the lymphatic system.

What areas can be treated?

  • Stomach
  • Chest (Men)
  • Arms
  • Thighs
  • Back
  • Calves

How does is work

We then apply a gel to the area and place the device on the treatment area. This area is exposed to thermal waves that shrink the targeted fat cells, and the radio-frequency separates the fat cells into clusters, mostly water, glycerol and fatty acids.

The former get absorbed through the lymphatic system, and the fatty acids are converted into energy after it is processed by the liver. As a greater number of fat cells are broken down over time, your body becomes slimmer, and more contoured.

How long does it take?

The size of the area determines treatment time but tends to take somewhere between 20 – 60 minutes. To see the best results, we typically recommend 4 Exilis Elite sessions, although in your consultation they’re be able to determine the exact amount required.

Why Fat Removal Isn’t Just A Quick Fix

Almost all of us have at some point experienced those little pockets of fat that don’t seem to go away, no matter how much we diet or exercise. A few months ago, you might have seen hundreds of ads, articles, blogs and websites telling you how to get summer body ready by ridding yourself of stubborn fat with skin tightening and fat removal techniques, but at Battersea Skin and Beauty, we take a different approach.

While it’s easy to see why so many people want to give themselves a confidence boost before the summer, fat removal treatments aren’t quick fixes or an easy way to lose weight fast. While they’re perfect for smoothing out those stubborn fat pockets, it takes time, effort and commitment to see optimum results from fat removal treatments. In this blog post, we’ll give you a rundown on how fat removal treatments work, what they can and can’t do, and how you can get the best results from your fat removal treatment.

What is Fat Removal?

Fat removal is, simply, a treatment that removes unwanted fat from certain areas in the body. You’ve probably heard of the popular surgical options such as liposuction and liposculpture, but there are now also non surgical fat removal options, that use a variety of techniques to reduce fat pockets in the body without anaesthesia, invasive cuts and probes or lengthy recovery periods.

Non surgical fat removal can be incredibly effective and leave you with the beautiful smooth and toned body you’ve always dreamed of!

The Fat Removal Process

Often, non-surgical fat removal is seen to be a ‘quick fix’ in time for that summer body, but sadly, this is not the case.

There are a certain number of fat cells in each area of the body, and this varies from person to person, which is why we have so many different body types. When we gain weight, the size of these cells increases, and when we lose weight, they decrease, however the number of cells remains largely the same. Fat removal treatments are effective as they reduce the number of fat cells in an area, with the end result being a smoother appearance  and reduced volume in the area.

However, fat removal treatments aren’t a permanent treatment, as there are still fat cells in the area and they will increase and decrease in size as our weight fluctuates. Patients will still need to abide by a healthy diet and regular exercise to see the best results.

What You Need To Do

During the course of treatment –  which depends on the method you use, but is generally between four to six sessions – you’ll need to drink lots of water to help improve the effectiveness of the treatments, and should commit to not eating poorly or drinking lots of alcohol, as these will reduce the efficacy of the treatment.

Often the treatments will take place over a six week course, and the results are not instant, as it takes time for the body to remove the dead fat cells. So if you’re wanting a quick fix for your summer holiday, these treatments sadly aren’t the right path for you.

The important thing to remember is that these treatments aren’t weight loss treatments, but for fat reduction, and are best used to target stubborn pockets of fat where your body holds more fat cells, to help smooth and tone the body.

This is why having fat removal treatment to look good for summer, and then living an unhealthy lifestyle again once autumn and winter come back around is just a waste of time and money, however, if you’re committed to the treatment process, they can give amazing results, and many of our dedicated patients have seen a massive confidence boost after treatments.

Our Fat Removal Techniques

At Battersea Skin and Beauty, we offer a variety of nonsurgical fat reduction methods – Exilis Elite, lipoglaze and VanquishME.

Exilis Elite uses radio frequency waves to gently heat the fat cells deep beneath the skin, killing the cells and reducing the appearance of fat pockets over time. When the fat cells are heated, they burst and their contents are released into the body, where the lymphatic system carries them away safely and naturally. Exilis Elite It is an incredibly safe method of fat removal, as fat cells are destroyed at lower temperatures than skin, muscles and other tissues, so there isn’t any chance of damaging any of the other tissues in the body.

Lipoglaze is a technique that uses fat freezing, or cryolipolysis, to kill fat cells in certain areas by reducing the temperature of the tissue. Fat cells are particularly sensitive within the body, as they also die at higher temperatures than other tissues. During lipoglaze treatment they are killed by cold temperatures before they begin to affect the other tissues in the area, and then the body removes using the same lymphatic process as Exilis Elite.

VanquishME is the only contactless fat removal treatment available on the market, and uses contactless high frequency waves in a similar technique to Exilis Elite treatment. It was also awarded the Best Body Reshaping Procedure at the annual My Face My Body Awards 2016, and is excellent for use on particularly stubborn fat pockets.

Skin Tightening vs. Fat Reduction – Which is Right for You?

When you’re trying to slim down, sometimes it can seem like an impossible task. We all have different body compositions, so we store pockets of fat differently, which can make it difficult or even impossible to create the smooth, toned body you’re dreaming of, even with a healthy diet and active lifestyle.

Fortunately, at Battersea Skin and Beauty, we have a variety of non-surgical options available to help give you the body of your dreams and make you feel toned, beautiful and confident.

What Is Fat Reduction?

Fat reduction refers to a variety of techniques to help smooth and sculpt the body. Non-surgical fat reduction techniques are becoming increasingly more popular as they offer a fantastic alternative to the traditional surgical techniques such as liposuction, which is a long and difficult process, including general anaesthetic, risk of infection and a long recovery period.

Our fat reduction treatments are gentle and painless, and have no recovery time afterwards, to give you beautiful results without any of the risks.

Vanquish ME

Vanquish ME is a revolutionary contactless fat reduction treatment – the only one of its kind in the industry. It is especially effective for treating larger areas of fat pockets all at once, such as around the stomach and hips.

Vanquish ME uses high frequency energies to reduce the volume of stubborn fat pockets without making any contact with the skin. Vanquish ME is not a painful treatment, and only takes around an hour per session. At Battersea Skin and Beauty, we recommend four to six treatments over the course of a few weeks for optimum results, but we will tailor this to you and your body to ensure you get the perfect treatment for you.

What Is Skin Tightening?

Skin tightening is slightly different to fat reduction, as it doesn’t penetrate below the skin to reduce fat cells, but instead smooths and tightens the skin above. This is a great treatment for people struggling with the appearance of excess skin, including new mothers, people who have undergone extreme weight loss or weight loss surgery, as well as people who have had fat reduction treatments and are now left with excess skin.

Sometimes, when patients think they need fat reduction treatment, it is actually skin tightening treatment they need to get the smooth, toned body they’ve dreamed of. Or, after fat reduction treatment, if they don’t see the results they’d hoped for, it might well be they could benefit from skin tightening treatment, as the skin around the fat pocket is now loose and sagging after the loss of fat volume.

Exilis Elite

Exilis Elite is a radiofrequency and ultrasound bodysculpting treatment designed to gently and painlessly destroy fat cells in certain areas of the body to create a smooth and sleek appearance.

Exilis is unique as it not only destroys fat cells, but also has a skin tightening handpiece to help smooth and reduce excess skin, making it the perfect dual-function treatment to create the perfect body. The skin tightening benefits can be used as part of an Exilis Elite treatment, or as a separate treatment.

Which Is Better For Me?

Fat reduction treatment is ideal for those stubborn pockets of fat that won’t budge, no matter what you do, while skin tightening can help to smooth the body and give certain areas a little lift.

Whatever you decide, our experienced practitioners at the Battersea Skin and Beauty Centre are always happy to share their expert knowledge and opinions with you, to ensure you get the most effective results from your treatment every time.

What causes cellulite?

Most women dread the thought of stripping off to their bathers. Regardless of size, cellulite is the bane of most women’s lives, and can really affect self-confidence. It lurks mainly n the lower body, specifically the buttocks, back of legs and thighs and, occasionally, the abdomen. But what is it?

Fibres hold our skin to our muscle forming chambers with fat cells lying in between. As fat cells grow or accumulate, they push up against the skin, while the long, tough cords pull down creating an uneven surface or dimpling cellulite is also more common with ageing, when the skin loses elasticity.

Cellulite – A swim in the sea really gets the circulation going

The are three types of cellulite, hard, soft and edematous, and it tends to run in families – so genetics might play the biggest role in whether you develop cellulite. An inactive lifestyle also can increase the chances of having cellulite, as can pregnancy.

The six main causes of Cellulite are:

1. Enlarged fat chambers just under the skin
2. Damaged collagen fibres (which exacerbate the next cause)
3. Loss of skin elasticity
4. Poor blood flow
5. Metabolic waste
6. Hormonal and genetic

If you would like to get rid of your cellulite, radio frequency is a very good way of tightening up the skin whilst bursting the fat cells beneath.

Even with medical intervention, cellulite will sadly, never fully disappear – but we can help ourselves:

• Body Brush and use ZO Cellulite Control Creme
• Drink lots of water to flush out toxins
• Take regular exercise to increase blood circulation and therefore oxygen and nutrients to tissues.
•  A swim in the sea really gets circulation going, and that’s something we can all do for free!
