LVL Lash Lift London

What are LVL lashes?

The LVL lash lift by Nouveau Lashes is a treatment that combines both an eyelash perm and an eyelash tint treatment. The best thing about it is that it enhances the lashes that you already have. This Permanent Makeup treatment can be carried out in London

Permanent Makeup in London how LVL lash lift works?

Your lashes are covered in a special serum that straightens them from the root, which rather than actually straightening gives them that super curled look. Your lashes are then tinted and, if you’re a little sparse, you might be offered some individual lash extensions as well.

How long does the LVL lash lift take?

Typically, LVL lash treatments last between 45 minutes to an hour. Most of that time is spent waiting for things to develop – the serum, the dye, etc.  Your eyes are shut the entire time, so you might actually find yourself falling asleep. This is not uncommon.

How long do LVL lashes last?

If you take care of them properly, then LVL lashes can last up to 6-8 weeks.

LVL lashes aftercare

For 24 hours after the treatment you’re not allowed to get the area wet. When you’re removing eye make-up. Rather than dragging a cotton pad along your lashes, press it onto your eye and hold for 10 seconds. Doing so will keep your lashes looking better for longer.

So, what is permanent make up?

Eyebrow Microblading involves using a handheld, manual tool—either a blade or a rotary pen with different configurations of needles depending on what the client is going for. The blade creates slices in the skin, and in the slices, you put the pigment on top and rub it in and let it sit. From start to finish, 2.5 hours are probably needed.

Is permanent make up safe?

Generally speaking, yes BUT there are definitely other factors to consider such as;

  • Are you allergic to the ink?

You will be asked to come into the clinic 48hours before your appointment and do a patch test before your treatment, which will indicate if your skin has a reaction to the ink or not. Once the ink is inserted into the skin permanently, if you had an allergy it would be a constant source of irritation, inflammation, soreness plus itching. It can also go lumpy.

  • Permanent makeup can cause infections?

Permanent makeup procedures carry the same risk as having a regular tattoo. Ask your permanent makeup artist which inks they use and make sure they are from a reputable source. Bacteria can sit in cheaper ink (especially if sealed in China) and are difficult to treat. Dirty needles can also spread infections, but you should see the practitioner open a brand new, sterile needle before beginning your treatment.

  • Cheap prices don’t always mean good results

Always ask for before and after photos. Most good practitioner’s will also be happy for you to speak to their other clients about their experience/results after the treatment.

  • Is it difficult to remove?

It is permanent to a degree, meaning there will be some residual ink even if it has faded over time. Laser tattoo removal can be an option if you really don’t like it or want it removed.

Can you still wear makeup afterwards?

The most important part of allowing your skin to heal properly after you have had a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment is keeping the area around your eyebrows clean and dry, which includes not using makeup.

Generally, you should wait two weeks before applying makeup to the treated area.  Keeping the skin clean and free from cosmetics is important to prevent infection.  Infections can lead to scarring and getting antibiotics from your GP.  As well as makeup, you should avoid touching the eyebrow area with your fingers or with moisturiser that could irritate the skin. Slight scabbing or flaking of the skin is normal in the tattooed area, as your skin is healing itself.  Be careful not to pick or rub at any scabs to avoid scarring also. You can of still wear makeup on other areas of the face, just be careful to avoid areas where you have had semi-permanent makeup treatment.

Follow the aftercare advice given by your aesthetic practitioner – you should be given this both verbally and written so you can take it home with you. It may seem inconvenient having to avoid makeup on certain areas of your face after microblading and eyebrow tattooing, but you want the best possible outcome for the longevity of your treatment, considering it isn’t a cheap procedure to have done.

Is eyebrow tattooing permanent or will I need to get a top up?

Some people prefer to describe the results of treatment as semi-permanent, purely because tattoos always fade over time. How quick the fade is, depends on several external factors which include (but are not limited to):

  • Sun exposure
  • Products used on the face (alcohol lifts pigment, skin lightening creams may contain a light bleach)
  • Your body’s immune system (it knows the ink is a foreign object)
  • Skin Type
  • What ink has been used
  • The procedure used to create the (semi) permanent eyebrows

Lips

Lip blushing uses a similar tool as the handheld rotary pen used for eyebrow microblading, just with a different configuration of needles.

Your lips are the most sensitive, so this is the most painful form of permanent makeup for most clients. For this reason, a topical, prescription numbing cream will be applied for 15 minutes before the treatment.

There is no downtime, but you should know that you might be a little shocked by your result at first. You will lose about 50-75 percent of the colour during your first week of healing, your lips are going to look pretty dark immediately following your procedure. Don’t panic!

Hair Stroke Brows

Hair Stroke Brows, sometimes called eyebrow tattooing or semi-permanent make up is an effective method to create natural-looking brow hairs using cosmetic tattooing. One of our most popular treatments, this process can give volume to thin brows, balance uneven brows and fill in spaces or sparse areas in thin and patchy brows. This is the perfect treatment for anyone who has seen a loss in their eyebrow hair, due to age, illness or over-plucking in the past. Or, if you’ve never been happy with the shape, size or style of your eyebrows, hair stroke brows can give you the full, defined look you’ve always dreamed of!

Top and Bottom Lash Define

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and they might be right! Your eyes are the first thing you see when you meet new people, and they give us insight into what other people are thinking and feeling.

Lash define treatment can help to make your eyes stand out without eyeliner or mascara, giving you a wide-awake, beautiful and engaging appearance.

You can choose a very subtle look, which involves gently applying the pigment between the eyelashes to create a soft yet defined line, or something more dramatic, to suit your personal style and your facial features.

Lip Blush

Lip Blush treatment gives a gentle wash of colour to the lips, while also defining the lip line to add symmetry, balance and volume to the appearance of the lips. This can help even out the lower face and give you the beautiful, full, smooth pout you’ve always wanted!

At Battersea Skin and Beauty, we are passionate about helping you feel like the most confident and radiant version of yourself.
